Kristin Fisher joined CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team on July 20, 2021. She covers all aspects of space, from NASA and Space Force, Space Force and commercial space companies to the advent of space tourism. Kristin is the daughter of two NASA Astronauts. Kristin has grown up in the world of space and has covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. Through that time she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, the impeachment trial, two efforts to stop the spread of coronavirus in addition to two distinct administrations' initiatives. Kristin was on the road extensively, including both the president and vice president. She even went on a top-secret trip to Afghanistan alongside Donald Trump. Kristin was a local television reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., in which she was awarded the Emmy Award for her work as a "one-man-band" reporter prior to joining CBS in the year 2015. Kristin's skills as a camerawoman helped her establish Field Mouse Films which specialized making documentary-style videos for corporate clients including Uber Hotels and Resorts as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science Diploma in Journalism from Boston University. The couple's husband and daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
